Cox Charities

At Cox Communications, community involvement is more than just a corporate commitment. It is a way of life. More than 300 Cox employees live and work in Arkansas, and that presence translates into a deeply held commitment to improve the quality of life for our employees, customers and neighbors.

Since 2014, Cox Communications has been empowering employees to give back to the communities where they live and work through its employee-funded and guided giving program—Cox Charities.

Each year, Cox employees donate to Cox Charities through recurring payroll deductions and one-time gifts. Cox Communications pays all administrative costs so 100 percent of every employee dollar is invested directly into the community. Cox Charities supports programs and services that impact Arkansans in the areas of youth, education, social issues and the arts. It fulfills this mission through three main grant programs:

  • Innovation in Education
  • Community Investment
  • Cox Cares Employee Relief Fund

The Cox Charities Advisory Council—a diverse group of Cox employees—serves as the program’s grant making body. Advisory Council members serve a three-year term and review all grant applications and make funding recommendations.

This unique model of employee giving has resulted in more than $140,000 pledged to date.

The Arkansas Community Foundation serves as the donor-advised fiscal agent for Cox Charities, managing all donated funds and grant distributions. For more information about the Arkansas Community Foundation, please visit www.arcf.org.
